Our son was born two months premature and Susannah did an amazing job helping our little guy overcome his speech delays. We worked with her for over two years, and there really aren’t enough words to describe our gratitude. She was incredibly warm and engaging with our boy, not to mention, always professional and present. From an early age, Susannah was able to keep our son active and engaged for the entire hour of therapy. She used a variety of toys and games to make learning fun and exciting. Also, the exercises she gave us to work with our son were easy and effective. Susannah addressed all of our speech related concerns and beyond. She always went the extra mile to research a topic for us even if it was outside her specific expertise. I don’t know where our baby or our family would be without her. |
Joaquin started speech therapy with Susannah shortly after turning 1 and I can’t say enough about the progress she has helped him achieve. Before she started working with him, he was showing delays in speech and it was difficult for him to form words. I firmly believe that it was through her assistance, therapy and guidance that he showed progress and made improvements. She was great to work with and really made me feel that she truly cared about Joaquin as an individual and that we were more than just patients. Susannah was an invaluable asset to my child’s development and I can’t thank her enough! |
Miriam Marmel came into my family’s life as my child had a pronounced speech delay, only saying mom and having dropped the other word (dog) they were saying at two years old. From the first time Miriam came to our home, my child loved her! She appeared, literally like Mary Poppins, with the most genuine, intelligent and compassionate approach totally tailored to my child. She had such a sense of calm and intrinsically connected with my child that it put me at ease as a parent who desperately wanted her child to be cared for with genuineness, warmth and of course evidence based practice. Lots of practitioners can become flustered when asked why they are treating a child with a particular technique and came become defensive and negatively impact the family practitioner triad. Not Miriam! She naturally, kindly, and professionally explained to me her approach. Miriam went above and beyond to stay in touch with me and would ask for updates about my child too. She was absolutely beyond fantastic to collaborate with and taught me how to seamlessly carry over what was working on with my child. Miriam made sessions with my little one so special and fun, the only thing I would change is extending her time with us til my little one was in full time official school! Miriam is extremely dedicated to her career and if you work with her you are so lucky because she had a grit and loves what she does! Miriam is the reason my child prospered and she humbly taught me how to infuse their life with love and dynamic speech approaches. If you have Miriam on your team, you’re in great hands! |
